Materials & Fabrics

Each OREVIA piece begins with the fabric. We choose materials for the way they feel against the skin, the way they age, and the hands that brought them into being.

Handloomed Organic Cotton

Woven on traditional pit looms by Bangladeshi taat shilpo artisans, our organic cotton is breathable, naturally textured, and softens beautifully with wear. Cultivated without synthetic pesticides and finished without harsh chemicals.

Care. Gentle hand wash in cool water. Lay flat to dry. Cool iron if needed.

Pure Silk

A natural protein fibre with a quiet lustre — light, breathable, and gentle on the skin. We use silks finished without aggressive bleaches or coatings, so the cloth retains its natural movement.

Care. Dry clean recommended, or gentle hand wash in cool water with a mild detergent. Roll in a towel to remove excess water; do not wring.

Viscose

A plant-derived fibre with the drape of silk and the softness of cotton. We select viscose woven from responsibly sourced wood pulp and processed in closed-loop facilities wherever possible.

Care. Gentle cold wash on a delicates cycle, or hand wash. Iron on a low setting whilst slightly damp.

Satin

The weave, not the fibre — a smooth, lustrous finish achieved through a particular weaving structure. Our satins are crafted from silk or viscose, giving them a soft, fluid hand.

Care. Dry clean or gentle hand wash, depending on the base fibre. Detail is on the garment care label.

A fabric library, always growing

As the collection expands, so will this library. Each new fibre we introduce will be chosen with the same standards — natural, handworked where possible, and made by people who are respected for their craft.
